How Much Weight Can Westin Power Tonneau Cover Hold On 2027 F-250

Question:

Hi guys, just bought a 2027 F-250 with the 6-3/4 bed. I work out of the truck and stuff inevitably gets set on top of the bed cover. How much weight can this Westin actually support?

Hey Eric, congratulations on the new truck! The Westin Power Retractable Tonneau Cover # W24SH is rated for up to 500 lbs of evenly distributed weight, so it is plenty stout for a work truck. I still wouldn't treat the cover like a workbench with a concentrated load in one spot. The 500 lb rating assumes the weight is spread evenly across the cover.

What kind of work are you using the F-250 for?

Thanks Robin! If I add a ladder rack to the T-slots does the 500 lb limit still apply or can the rack support more weight?

@Eric you're welcome! The 500 lb rating is for weight sitting on the tonneau cover itself. A rack mounted in the T-slots has its own capacity, so you'll want to follow the weight rating of the rack and mounting system you're using.
