Looking For Good Waterproof Clearance Side Marker Lights 3" on 3" Bolt Pattern -Hallmark Car Hauler

Updated 10/01/2026 | Published 09/30/2026

Question:

I have an enclosed Hallmark car trailer. I have owned it since new 2001. I keep on replacing the marker lights. Last replacement, I made it a point to WIRE SECURELY !...with good grounds. Now the LEDS are failing. I have been using a model similar to MCL45RB. I am looking for a durable LED waterproof maybe even submersible that has a similar footprint to the MCL45RB. Does not have to be a perfect mounting match, I am just tryin to cover the old mounting holes if possible. I am willing to pay for a GOOD one! Thanks, Jack

Hey Jack!

Sorry for the troubles you were having. I think you'll have better luck with the Optronics LED Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light - Submersible - 6 Diodes - Red Lens - 12V # MCL66RB. These are submersible so they'll last longer if you ever go in water (boat trailer) or use the trailer in a lot of rainy weather.

It uses the same bolt pattern of 3" on 3", and the assembly is about 4" wide overall. The housing is just a tad shorter which won't interfere with mounting or using them. It uses the same 2 wire install. You won't have to modify anything on the trailer :).

What do you normally haul with it?

Thanks Andrew ! I will take a look at MCL66RB. My wife and I haul our Triumph Sports Cars: TR2, TR3B, TR250 and TR8...One at a time!!!!!! For the most part, we attend the two main Triumph National Meets every year and have traveled as far as California from Maryland.

@JackS You're very welcome! And holy cow I'm jealous - I have always loved the TR2 and TR3 Triumphs! Those are such cool cars that I never seen on the road. I haven't really gotten my hands on anything like that yet, but I've had a few kit cars, a gazelle replica, and now a 64 chevy pickup I've fixed up over the years. Triumph is on the bucket list for sure though. Good luck Sir! I'm here if you need anymore help.
