Can etrailer Retractable Tonneau Cover Stay Partially Open On 2027 Toyota Tundra
Published 09/30/2026 >
Question:
I have a 2027 Toyota Tundra with the 5-1/2' bed and I'm looking at the e63YV. Can I leave the cover partially open when I'm hauling something taller in the bed? Also, when it's fully closed does it lock or is there a separate lock I need to use?

Hey Brian! Yes, the etrailer Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # e63YV can be locked in several different positions, so you can leave part of the bed open when you're hauling taller cargo. When you have the cover fully closed, the release is underneath it and can't be accessed with the tailgate shut, so locking your Tundra's tailgate also secures the cover.
What do you typically haul with your truck?

That's perfect, I haul a mix of camping gear and stuff for projects around the house so being able to leave it partially open comes in handy. Thanks!
