Question:
I am looking to replace my hand crank trailer jack with an electric jack. Travel trailer weighs about 5,500 lbs loaded. My question: Do any of the jacks have a grease fitting for service? I have seen several videos where the jack starts making a grinding sound and there is no way to service it other than a somewhat difficult disassembly. Or, throw away your expensive jack and buy new.

Welcome back Thomas. For a A-Frame mounted electric trailer jack with a grease fitting, I recommend the Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack item # UF38-944014. This jack has a zerk built into the jack tube just below the head that'll allow you to grease it for routine maintenance.
The Ultra-Fab Jack item # UF38-944014 has a 4,000 lbs tongue weight capacity so it'll definitely be capable of supporting your 5,500 lbs travel trailer. It's designed to extend 6" in less than seconds with a 1,000 lbs tongue weight so you won't have to wait to long to get your trailer coupled or uncoupled once you're ready to go. It will provide up to a 22-1/2" lift with the 4-1/2" drop leg lowered.
The Ultra-Fab Jack item # UF38-944014 has a 2-1/4" outer tube diameter and is designed to fit a standard A-frame trailer bolt pattern. It can also be rotated if you need additional clearance for a tailgate. It uses a hardwired 2-wire installation method that will connect directly to your trailer's battery.
What kind of travel trailer do you have and what kind of ground do you typically park it on? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
