How Does LaSalle Bristol Valve Get Replaced

Question:

I would like to know how to replace the cartridge on my laSalle Bristol Utopia bathroom faucet. The cartridge looks correct, but don’t know how to replace cartridge. 34439004

Hey Jeff, thanks for your pictures! From them I can tell the part # 34439004 is correct, the basic procedure is:

Turn off the RV water supply and relieve pressure by opening the faucet.
On top of the faucet handle, pry off the small decorative cap with a small flat screwdriver.
Remove the screw underneath the cap.
Pull the faucet handle straight upward/off the valve stem.
Underneath the handle you should expose the bonnet/retaining portion of the old valve. Some versions also have a small lock/retaining ring that needs to be lifted off first.
Put an adjustable wrench on the hex portion of the bonnet and turn it counterclockwise. The old stem and bonnet should unscrew from the faucet body as one assembly.
Screw the new # 34439004 valve assembly into the faucet body and snug it down. Don't overtighten it—the replacement is plastic.
Reinstall the retaining piece if equipped, then the handle, screw and decorative cap.
Turn the water back on and check for leaks.

Same set up for my 1992 slumber queen truck camper wet bathroom sink with shower diverter but the cartridge is 1 5/8 inch long and no small screw on the bottom.
