Are There Any 8 Or 10 Inch Diameter Wheels For 2" Diameter Tube Jack For Trailer?
Updated 09/23/2026 | Published 09/21/2026 >
Question:
I have a trailer tongue jack with a 2-inch diameter tube. The caster wheel is 5-1/2 in diameter. I am looking for a caster with a larger diameter wheel, approx 8-10 inches. Thanks

Hey Jim,
We do have some 8" caster wheels, but they are designed for specific jacks and aren't universal for 2" round-tube trailer jacks.
For a standard round-tube jack, the largest general replacement caster we carry is a 6" wheel, so unfortunately that wouldn't be much of an upgrade over your current 5-1/2" wheel.
If you can send me the brand and model number of your jack, I can dig a little deeper and see if a larger wheel is available specifically for it. You can also send me a picture by replying to the email you receive with this response. For example, if you have a RAM jack then you may be able to use something like Removable, 8" Poly Caster Assembly for etrailer or Ram Jacks - 1,500 lbs # JWK-8P.
Do you normally move your trailer around by hand in the driveway or gravel?

I usually park the trailer in the dirt. It's a small landscaper style trailer with the stock center tongue jack. I don't have a backup camera so being able to move the trailer is easier than jockeying the truck. I usually put the jack wheel on a piece of plywood slightly slanted towards the truck and pull it over the ball. I will probably fabricate a bracket for a larger caster. Thanks
