Question:
With the Dexter upf XR84 DX68CR, what would happen if you used the model for a triple axle trailer in a double axle setup? Curious as the single double axle is the same part, wondering if the triple works on a double?

You sure can Andrew. The Triple Axle Replacement Inner Member for Dexter XR84 Actuator item # DX68CR can indeed be used on a tandem axle setup in place of the Replacement Inner Member item # DX78CR, which is designed for tandem or single axle trailers. They're both exclusively designed for disc brakes so you definitely don't want to use either one if your trailer has drum brakes.
Both the Triple Axle Replacement Inner Member item # DX68CR and the Tandem Axle item # DX78CR have an 8,400 lbs capacity and a 2" coupler. They each have a electric reverse lockout that lets you back your trailer without activating the trailer brakes.
What kind of trailer do you have and what do you use it for? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
