Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Dexter Replacement Inner Member. This Replacement Inner Member Slide easily fits into the existing housing of your Dexter XR84 or Legacy UFP Surge Brake Actuator. This is gonna be for use with triple-axle trailers with hydraulic disc brakes, and the capacity is 8,400 pounds, and the self-latching cast ball latch is going to fit your two-inch ball. So, just to give you a brief demonstration here, I'm gonna remove this pin here, and then I do happen to have a two-inch ball. So, as you can see, it's gonna latch very easily, and of course then you'll replace the pin and then to uncouple, you'll just pull that lever and then it'll allow you to easily uncouple, then I'm gonna go ahead and replace the pin here, and of course, as you know, that's going prevent accidental uncoupling.

It'll keep that latch from disconnecting from your ball. This also includes a breakaway cable with the included hook to ensure a secure connection to your breakaway lever. This is going to hook to your tow vehicle and prevent a trailer and a runaway situation. So, if your trailer unhooks from your tow vehicle, it'll pull this cable, which will activate the master cylinder to apply the brakes to keep it from a runaway situation. The electric reverse lockout's gonna let you back up without actuating the trailer brakes, and the solenoid is going to activate automatically when you shift into reverse, you'll just wire that in.
