Correct MORryde GooseTech For 5th Wheel With 11,995 lb GVWR

Updated 09/21/2026 | Published 09/17/2026

Question:

My 5th wheel is on the cusp between the Under 11,500 GVWRinch and 11,501 to 14000inch categories. Its GVWR is 11,995 while the UVW is 10,150. I dont anticipate ever carrying more than 1,000 lbs of cargo in my rig. Which version would provide the best and most consistent shock absorption in my situation?

Hey Ezequiel! The right MORryde GooseTech is dependent on the GVWR of the trailer and your pin box bolt pattern. As long as you have a Lippert 1621 bolt pattern, the # MR37MV is the right model for your 5th wheel. This is designed for trailers with a GVWR of 11,501 lbs - 14,000 lbs.

It is also worth mentioning that if you don't follow their guidelines with the GVWR it voids the warranty, so don't try to size down just because you think you should based on your unloaded or typical loaded weight. You will also need safety chains # MR23MV to complete your setup. If you want a lock to keep it secure, you can use the InfiniteRule # IR66FR.

What kind of 5th wheel do you have?
