Looking for Winch Replacement for Fulton XLT1801

Published 09/09/2026

Question:

Good afternoon, I have a Fulton XLT1801 that I believe went bad. The gears are getting stuck and when I try to crank it with the weight of the boat, it just stops like the gears are stuck or the handle would rotate but it will not move the winch rope. Do you have the same model Winch or a replacement? My boat is a 2003 Ranger 621VS. Otherwise, I was thinking of possibly going to a stronger/larger winch to support with less strain longevity on the winch and possibly easier cranking when loading this heavy boat? Greatly appreciate the support and looking to purchase the new winch as soon as possible.
