How to Stop Hellwig Sway Bar Installation Wires from Rattling

Question:

What do I need to do with the wire attached to the metal plates to prevent them from rattling in the frame? I have completed the installation, love the sway bar, hate the rattle sound on every bump in the road.

Hey, thanks for reaching out. Hellwig really doesn’t give any specific instructions for dealing with the excess wire once the plates are installed. Since the wire has already done its job of pulling the plates into position, I’d bend or coil it tightly against the inside of the frame so it can’t bounce around and cause that rattle.

Another option is to trim off the excess wire once you’ve verified all the plates and hardware are fully installed and tight.
