Question:

I have a 2024 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS. Looking at replacing the pin box. Interested in a Curt Helux. Here is the questions: What Curt Helux would I need for it to work with my Pullrite Superglide 4500 ? I would also need to know what Pullrite capture plate I would need to attach to the Curt Helux for my model Pullrite Superglide 4500. Thank you

Hey Patrick, the first thing we have to do is determine if your 2024 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS has the Lippert 1621 or Lippert Rhino pin box. In 2024 it could have gone either way but my guess is it's probably a 1621. The Rhino pin box features different bolt spacing (measuring 7.5 inches front-to-back) compared to a standard 1621/1621HD frame (which is about 7.875 inches). So you would want to measure first there to find out what you have/need.

The Curt Helux is only available for the Rhino pin box so hopefully that is what you have and then you could run the part # C25MJ . Let me know either way though.

The correct capture plate for a Helux would be the part # PUL68MR.

Thank you for your reply Jameson, I am also looking at the GenY to attach to my Pullrite Superglide 4500. When choosing the proper pin box, I want to make sure I maintain the same clearance from the top of my truck quarter panels and choosing one of these pin boxes does not lower the trailer closer to my truck bed. @PatrickM yeah the Helux or the Gen-Y wouldn't alter the height of the king pin relative to where it mounts to the trailer frame compared to a standard pin box.

Thank you for the recommended Curt Helux, my concern is that pin box has a minimum pin weight of 2120 lbs, and the optimal towing weight is just over 3100 pds recommended by Curt. My dry pin weigh on my 2024 Grand Design 303 RLS is 1980 lbs. The rig weighs around 10,000 pounds dry. This pin box appears to be made for a heavier fifth wheel. Should you be recommending a different model?

@PatrickM Good catch! Yeah the better option would be the part # C25MJ which has a pin weight range of 1,200 to 2,600 lbs.
