Will The Curt Hitch Fit My 2020 Honda Accord With An Aftermarket Exhaust?

Question:

Hi I have a 2020 Honda accord 2.0t I also have an after market exhaust installedwhich technically makes the muffler section smaller. Do you think the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4 would still fit? Thank you.

Welcome to etrailer, I'm glad you found us!

Yes, I think you have a good chance of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11525 working with your aftermarket exhaust, especially since you said the muffler section is actually smaller than the factory setup. The hitch itself is confirmed to fit your 2020 Honda Accord 2.0T, but since the exhaust has been modified, I cannot guarantee clearance without seeing exactly how your aftermarket system is routed.

I attached an image showing you exactly where the # C11525 mounts underneath the Accord. Take a look underneath your car and compare your exhaust routing to the hitch in the picture. Since your muffler is smaller, I would mainly pay attention to where the exhaust pipes and hangers sit in relation to the hitch cross tube and mounting points. As long as your aftermarket exhaust is not moved into the space the hitch needs, I do not see a reason the smaller muffler itself would prevent the hitch from fitting.
