Welcome back Brian! You should use 6 AWG or 8 AWG wire to connect the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series Mini RV Converter item # PD4045KA to your RV's batteries.
The gauge of wire you use is going to depend on the length of your wire run from the converter to the batteries. 8 AWG wire is going to be sufficient to carry the voltage up to 35'. If you're batteries are farther away than that you'll want to use 6 AWG. The heavier gauge wire ensures you're getting the correct amount of voltage to and from your power center and batteries.
The Progressive Dynamics item # PD4045KA is a compact, all-in-one 45 Amp RV power center featuring a 120V AC distribution panel and a smart converter with Charge Wizard technology. It is compatible with lead-acid and lithium batteries.
What kind of RV do you have and do you connect to hookups or are you camping off-grid? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
