Hi Steve, with the close clearance around the front struts on your Toyota 4Runner and your 265/70R16 tires, I would recommend putting tire chains on the rear tires rather than the front.

If you do decide to put chains on the front, The Konig K Summit Tire Chains, part # TH02230K77, would be an excellent option because they mount to the wheel and do not wrap around the inside of the tire where clearance is tight around the suspension. They are also one of the easiest chains we carry to install, and I have installed these myself, so I can definitely appreciate how much nicer that is when you are out in cold or snowy conditions.

The K Summit chains do require at least 1.46 inches of clearance above the tire tread and at least 0.59 inches between the tire sidewall and the vehicle, so I would make sure you have that clearance before ordering.

I know these a tad bit pricey but they are the best for clearance with those struts. Have you thought about only putting chains on the rear tires? We can find another option for the rear if you don't like the Konig option.
