Hey John, thanks for reaching out, and nice truck! Yes, we can provide a hitch and wiring harness for your 1979 Ford Ranchero. Here is what I recommend:
- Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236
- Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets - 2" Receiver - 44" Wide # C99CR
This wiring harness is a universal splice-in harness that uses quick-splice connectors to tie into the vehicles brake light and taillight circuits. The hitch is also a universal hitch that has adjustable side flanges. It can fit frames up to 44" wide so I do suggest measuring the frame on your truck and making sure this matches up. As long as your frame falls within the 18"-44" range, the hitch can be made it fit. It will require some welding/fabrication work to make it fit, but since there aren't any custom fit hitches or wiring made for your vehicle, this will be your best bet if you need to tow a trailer.
What kind of trailer will you be hauling?

Thank you, Jesse: I will be pulling a jet boat or 2007 Toyota Tundra. Please advise if you have a kit that will facilitate pulling the Ranchero? Grateful for you folks, John
