Will DeeMax Actuator Work with OEM Brake Controller of 2018 GMC 3500HD

Question:
I will be purchasing the DeeMaxx disc brake system for my triple axle toy hauler camper fairly soon. Would you verify if I need to purchase a device for the actuator to communicate with my 2018 GMC 3500 HD factory brake controller? If it does require one, please send me a link for that item.

Hey Jeff, this is a great question but the 2017 and newer integrated brake controllers of the GM trucks are compatible as-is with electric over hydraulic actuators like the DeeMax Alpha part # DE47SR that you are planning on going with. So this will work just fine with your OEM brake controller and will give you a really nice actuator for smoother and more powerful braking! What kind of trailer do you have?

I installed the disc brakes on my big country fifth wheel before coming to Colorado. The brakes worked great in the mountains, they are a lifesaver compared to brake shoes. The deemax system works with my OEM controller. 2024 RAM

I agree.I has it installed on my RV and it was compatible with my 2021 Chevrolet silverado 3500HD. I thought i needed it, even purchased a device but realized it was not needed. Please note that this is one of the best possible upgrades you could ever do.
