Curt 4-Way Wiring Harness for a 2025 Hyundai Tucson PHEV

Updated 09/02/2026 | Published 08/26/2026

Question:

I can’t seem to find a 4 flat trailer wiring harness for my 2025 Hyundai Tucson Plug in Hybrid. I had one of your plug in harnesses on my 2022 Tucson plug in hybrid, however it will not work on the 2025 model. Hyundai did not include a t-connector that I can plug into. I purchased a hitch from you that fits perfectly but can not hook up lights. Is there any wiring kit that will work on the 2025 Tucson plug in hybrid?

Hey Peter, happy to help.

I checked with Curt and found something that will fit your vehicle (2025 Hyundai Tucson PHEV). The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # C28DQ. This is a custom wiring harness T-connector that will plug into the wiring harness behind your taillights. You'll then need to ground it then run a wire up to your battery.

What are you hoping to haul with your Tucson?

Thank you for the reply Trent. We use the hitch for a bike rack and need a flat 4 connector to use a set of magnetic tail lights because our bicycles block the view. I already have the curt T connector which I purchased and used on our 2022 Tucson. However the 2025 Tucson DOES NOT have a plug for it to plug into. There is no connector on the new 2025 plug-in hybrid model. Hyundai has verified this. I am looking for any other way to do it that does not involve working around the high voltage battery.

@PeterM There is a splice in option if you aren't finding any connectors behind the taillights. The Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 will work for your vehicle. You will have to splice into the existing wires using the wire taps and run your ground. Unfortunately, there is no way around running the black wire to the positive terminal of your battery. This is ultimately the better option as it protects the more fragile circuits of your taillights. Once everything is tapped in and ran this will also provide you with the 4-way you need for your magnetic lights.
