Hey James,

You're mostly right, the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270 will not work directly work with your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali, but only because it doesn't include the custom brackets to fit it in your bed. For the kit custom to your Sierra's 6-foot bed, you can go with the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC # BW27XR. This kit includes the # BWRVK3270 as well as the B&W Custom Mounting Brackets for Patriot 5th Wheel Above Bed Base Rails # BWRVR2506 and thte B&W Universal Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVR3210. It is by design more cost efficient to buy the kit, but if you already have any base rails, you can buy just the hitch and the custom brackets for your Sierra and be fine.

I’m leaving this review because etrailer asked me to via email . This B&W hitch is a universal hitch for industry standard rails so if you have the puck system you might need a different hitch. If your truck doesn’t have a puck system this is up the hitch for you . Don’t be scared there are truck specific brackets from various brands to install these rails for most popular truck models that require zero frame drilling and that’s exactly what I got for my 2025 F250 the only holes I had to drill were the holes in the bed for the rails to bolt to the brackets . At first I was using my old crappy sliding hitch from my old truck which I hated, had too much slop and was hard to slide . When I saved enough money for this B&W hitch everything changed I really don’t think you’ll find a better product on the market. Hands down the best fifth wheel hitch I’ve ever owned. Zero slop and slides super easy, my hitch is no longer a concern for me . If you are handy with a wrench you could handle this job yourself, just be sure to torque everything properly,

@Matt Thanks for your feedback. I think everything you said is spot on. In my opinion (and it's also a shared sentiment amongst my colleagues), the B&W is top of the line from quality, expertise, and their customer service so there's no way you can go wrong with B&W! What kind of fifth wheel do you have?
