How Many Battery Disconnects Do I Need For A 2025 Chevy 3500 Duramax?

What is the correct battery disconnect kit for flat towing a 2025 Chevrolet 3500 Duramax with two batteries? I assume i would need one for each battery or is there a kit for both?

Thanks for writing in, great question!

Yes, you will need one Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM93MR for each starting battery on your 2025 Chevy Silverado 3500 Duramax. Since your Duramax has two starting batteries, you will need two # RM93MR disconnects. Roadmaster does not offer a single kit that disconnects both batteries.

The # RM93MR is the heavy-duty manual disconnect designed for diesel applications and their higher cranking amperage. You will also want to follow the battery disconnect procedure in your Chevy owner's manual when setting the truck up for flat towing.

Thank you Kate! Just setting up my new truck. I sometimes flat tow it behind my motor grader. The process for setting this truck up for towing has alot of steps and it is a pain. Just trying to make it a little easier

@MarkS I bet, with all the computer systems and sensitive wiring the vehicles have now a days, the process to flat tow it becoming more and more steps. We might as well be flying around in UFO's =)
