Updated 08/26/2026 | Published 08/23/2026

Question:

P/N MAL64ER, Malone MicroSport Off Road trailer 1. What is the speed rating for the tires? 2. Hopefully would be able to go at Highway speeds, 70mph? Thanks

Hey Michael, happy to help.

So, to answer your question, these tires have a max speed rating of 65MPH, which doesn't get you to the speed you mentioned but definitely highway ready. I did look into potential replacement tires to achieve that 70-75MPH rating but found that this increased the rigidity of the tires significantly because they carry a higher load capacity. This is going to give you a very bumpy ride, I highly recommend sticking to the posted 65MPH limit set by the manufacturer.

The Malone MicroSport Off-Road 2 Kayak Trailer Package - 78" Load Bars - Set Bunks # MAL64ER comes standard with 20.5 x 8.0-10 tires with a load range E.

Are you interested in the Off-Road model because of the larger tires? or is there another feature that caught your attention?

Trent, Thanks for getting back to me, I contacted your etrailer yesterday and spoke to Will. Informed me it was 70 mph on the tires. I am looking at putting a TrueKit Dingy on the trailer. True Kit 4M Discovery. Thanks, Mike
