Can Furrion Chill Cube Run Heat Pump and Furnace Through Thermostat

Updated 08/27/2026 | Published 08/20/2026

Question:

Hi - I am replacing a Coleman Mach AC unit with a Furrion Chill Cube with heat pump. The Coleman has electric heat and the RV has a propane furnace as well. Will the Furrion Thermostat Furrion Chill® Cube 18K Variable Speed Single-Zone Thermostat - Ducted FACW13VSDA-BL-AM / FACC13VSD-AM be able to switch between the heat in the chill cube and propane furnace? Thanks, Tim

Hey Tim! Yes, the Furrion Chill Cube thermostat can control both the Chill Cube heat pump and your propane furnace. It won't automatically switch between the two, but you can manually select either Heat Pump or Furnace mode on the thermostat.

It is worth mentioning that we have seen some compatibility issues when trying to control certain propane furnaces with the Furrion thermostat. Because of that, you may be better off leaving the furnace on its original thermostat and controlling the Chill Cube with the included remote.

For a ducted Chill Cube with a heat pump you can choose from the following:

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR67TQ

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - Black - R32 # FR97TQ

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump and Thermostat - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR59TQ

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump and Thermostat - Ducted - 18K Btu - Black - R32 # FR27TQ

All of them include the remote, the version with "Thermostat" in the title has the wall thermostat as well. They're all complete systems with everything you need to replace the old Coleman setup.

What kind of RV do you have?
