Will Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Fit 2017 Ford Expedition With Raised Factory Rails

Question:

My new to me 2017 ford expedition has raised factory rails but no longer has the cross bars. I got some haulmaster universal crossbars that were advertised to fit most rails but could not get them to attach due to the particular shape of the ford factory rails. They are somewhat triangular its odd. Have other 2017 expedition owners been able to attach the extra long surco safari baskets to their rails without crossbars?

Hey Elliott! We haven't had any feedback specifically from 2017 Ford Expedition owners using the Surco Safari Rack 5.0 # SPS5084-1101. However, this is confirmed to fit your Expedition and is designed to mount directly to the raised factory side rails without crossbars. This will be a much better solution than trying to make the universal Haul-Master crossbars work with the shape of your factory rails.
