Question:
Will a pick lock fit on this hasp is the hasp and hole deep enough?

Hey Doug, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Polar Hardware Economy Side Door and Tailgate Lock # PLR3057-SS is designed to accept a padlock. The hasp has a 1/2" diameter lock-shackle hole, so you will want a padlock with a shackle smaller than 1/2".
The bridge-style hasp also gives the shackle room to pass through and lock the handle in place, so you do not need an unusually long or deep shackle. A standard weather-resistant padlock with roughly a 1/4" to 3/8" shackle diameter is what I recommend for this setup. We actually have one that will work perfectly for that:
- Master Lock Laminated Steel Padlock- 1-15/16" Wide - 3/8" Shackle - Blue - Keyed Alike # ML312KA
What kind of trailer will the tailgate lock be going on?
