Roof Rack Options for a 2025 Porsche Macan 4 EV With a Naked Roof

Updated 08/25/2026 | Published 08/19/2026

Question:

Hello, I have a 2025 Porsche Macan 4 EV without roof rails naked roof. Could you point me to a cross bar system that would be compatible with my vehicle? Im seeing that TH34FR82JX might be compatible, but I think it requires roof rails, so I wanted to confirm. Let me know, thank you!

Hi Joseph, you’re reading that correctly. The Thule roof rack part # TH34FR82JX is designed for a 2025 Porsche Macan EV with factory flush mounted rails, so it will not work on your Macan 4 EV with the naked roof. I checked the roof rack manufacturers we carry, and sadly we don’t currently have a traditional clamp on or fixed point roof rack confirmed to fit the naked roof version. If you want a permanent factory style setup, Porsche would be the next place I’d check.

We do have another option that I know looks a little wild the first time you see it, and that’s the SeaSucker Ridge Ready Monkey Bars part # SEA46VR. Instead of needing rails or clamping around the door frames, it uses six vacuum mounts directly on the roof. I completely understand being skeptical about trusting vacuum cups with your gear, but SeaSucker makes some seriously stout equipment. We’ve had them here at etrailer demonstrating these systems, and once those vacuum mounts are properly installed, they hold incredibly well.

The # SEA46VR gives you two 48 inch round aluminum crossbars and has a 150 lb rack capacity, although you’ll still need to stay within Porsche’s roof capacity if it is lower. One thing I really like for a Macan like yours is that there’s no drilling or permanent hardware. You can put the rack on when you need it and remove it when you don’t, leaving that clean roof alone. The bars also separate for easier storage when they’re off the vehicle.

If this were mine, I’d either check with Porsche for a factory solution or go with the SeaSucker rather than trying to make a rail mounted rack like the # TH34FR82JX work on a roof it wasn’t designed for.

What are you hoping to carry first, bikes, skis, kayaks, or a cargo box?
