Reese 5th Wheel Rail and Bracket Kit for a 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500HD

Updated 08/25/2026 | Published 08/18/2026

Question:

I sent a previous email. I have a Reese 5th wheel hitch, 30094 with 30092 pro slider. I was looking for rail brackets for 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500hd no 5th wheel prep pockets. Is this the rail kit that fits? Reese 56011-53

Hi Scott, the Reese 56011-53 is not the correct rail and bracket kit for your 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500HD without the factory fifth wheel prep package. The good news is your Reese 30094 with the 30092 Pro Series slider is designed to mount to industry standard rails, so you can definitely keep using the hitch you already have.

For your Silverado, you’ll want the Curt Universal Base Rails part # C16204 along with the custom fit frame brackets part # C16429. That combination gives you industry standard rails in the truck bed for your Reese slider to drop into, while the custom brackets are designed around your Silverado’s frame so you aren’t trying to make the wrong bracket kit work. It's ok that they are different brands because they all fit the same.

I’d much rather set you up with the correct brackets from the start, especially when you already have a perfectly usable Reese slider.

What fifth wheel are you pulling with your Silverado, and do you mostly take it on longer trips or weekend getaways?

Thanks for checking. Those rails and brackets sound perfect. Especially since our hitch is practically new, only used a few times. Would only be for a weekend trip once in a while.

@ScottH You’re very welcome, Scott! Since that Reese slider is practically new, I’d absolutely keep using it rather than starting over with another hitch. The Curt rails and custom brackets will let you put that hitch right back to work, and for the occasional weekend trip, that sounds like a great setup. Where do you guys like to head for those weekend getaways?
