Hey Carol, if yours are the larger slam-style handles, there's a good chance they're similar to the Lippert/Global Link style. For example, Global Link # 295-000015 measures about 5" wide x 4-1/2" tall and typically uses roughly a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" cutout. This is a very common design so there's good chance it's what you need.

The easiest way to get you the right one is to send me a picture of one of your existing storage handles. If possible, also measure:

Overall width and height of the outside handle
Door cutout behind the handle
Thickness of the storage door

Thank you, Jameson. I chatted with Austin yesterday and he suggested the Polar Hardware PLR5115, which would require cutting and shimming. He thought that would be the only one that would work, but with mods. Hmmm

@JamesonC Austin said “ It requires a 4-5/8" x 3-3/8" cutout, so with your current 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" opening you’d need to enlarge it in one direction. One thing to keep in mind is that it’s technically designed for doors starting at 7/8" thick, while yours is 3/4", so you may need to add a small spacer/backing plate to get everything mounted securely.” You seem to have found one with the correct cutout size? Door thickness is 3/4” as well. I’ll send you an email with pics.

@Carol If you have a 3-1/2 inch square cut out you could just use the # 295-000015 and not have to enlarge anything. Go ahead and email me the picture though.

My husband tore the “broken” compartment latch/lock completely apart and it seemed only the nylon(?) bushing had split. Because we could find no definitive replacement for the handle, I decided to 3D print the bushing with ABS filament and it works! Only time will tell if this is our answer, but at least for now it looks and functions fine. We just didn’t want to cut the door for a replacement latch that “should work”. Thank you for your help.
