For this item what is the wiring configuration/function by color?

Hey Frank!
Here's the standard for 7-way plug wiring:
Green - Right Turn
Yellow - Left Turn
White - Ground
Brown - Tail & Marker Lights
Blue - Brakes
Red/Black - Battery
Purple - Backup
I've also posted a photo of the standard wiring diagram for 7-way connections below. The TowSmart 7-Blade Trailer Connector w/ Jacketed Cable # TS74RR will follow this standard for the connections. You'll still want to test each wire for its function when installing. Manufacturers have made production mistakes (or else their own standards) in the past, and I've seen before where connectors can come from the factory with a different setup. Are you replacing a cable on your trailer or starting from scratch?
