Wiring Harness for 2022 GMC Terrain

Question:
Good afternoon, I am looking to purchase a Curt wiring harness for my 2022 GMC Terrain, however I am not clear on which part number I require. I understand there are 2 versions, 1 with the trailer tow package and 1 without, however the way to tell the difference is unclear to me. Ive looked at several installation videos, and each video says to look for a manufacturer installed plug tucked in behind the drivers side of the rear bumper. The plug indicates that the vehicle is equipped with the tow package. However, even vehicles without the tow package seem to utilize the very same plug, in the same location. The harness PNs I am looking at are 56429 and 56375. In addition to my confusion the Curt website lists the 56375 harness as requiring the tow package, and 56426 is for a vehicle without the tow package. Your website lists them both as for vehicle without the tow package. BUT the videos linked to both the 56429 and 56375 harness pages says they are both for vehicles WITH the tow package. Can you assist me here?

Hi Quinn; the 2022 GMC Terrain with the factory tow package would have come with the factory hitch and 4-way. Based on this I would say you do not have the factory tow package. The correct wiring harness for your vehicle is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C94FR. This fits models both with, and without the factory tow package.
The 56375 is intended as a replacement for models that came with the factory 4-way. The 56426 is for certain models of the Grand Cherokee so that is not a fit either.

There are 2 wire harnesses. One comes with the relays wired into it and the other one doesn’t the only way you need the relays wired into the wire harness is if you look at your fuse box and in the fuse panel, there should be those relays two of them for my equinox, which was a 2022 did not have the relays in the fuse panel. Therefore I bought the wire harness with the relays wired into them.
