The 4,400 lb maximum load, or break strength, for part # SL26AR is the amount of force at which the item is expected to fail, while the 1,467 lb safe working load limit is the maximum load you should actually use it for. So when you’re figuring out whether this will handle what you need, the important number to use is the 1,467 lb working load limit, not the 4,400 lb break strength.

That difference gives you a safety margin between normal use and the point where the item could fail. I definitely wouldn’t recommend treating the break strength as usable capacity, especially when you’re securing something you want to stay put.
