How does this crate stay closed? Is there a way to lock it?

Hey Steve, thanks for reaching out. The Rock Tamers 2-In-1 Traction Crate # RT96ZR stays closed using rubber pull down latches. The lid of the crate has two built-in latches, then the side panel has a keeper for the latches that holds them closed
As far as locking it, there isn't a built-in lock, but it does have molded holes that let you secure the lid with a padlock or a small cable lock. Those same holes can also be used to daisy-chain multiple crates together or tether the crate to your vehicle.
What kind of gear will you be storing in the crate?
