Will the new B and W fifth wheel to gooseneck pin box conversion be compatible with the trough on a CM ER Flatbed?

It sure is Tyler! The B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # BW83RV is indeed compatible with the gooseneck trough on CM ER flatbeds. The gooseneck connection point is more narrow to prevent the latch assembly from striking the flatbed during turns. You'll have plenty of clearance.

I attached a picture below so you can see how the connection point is noticeably more narrow to allow for turning clearance.

The B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # BW83RV is designed to replace a Lippert 1621/1621HD pin box with up to a 4,500 lbs tongue weight. We also have the B&W item # BW73RV which also fits a Lippert 1621/1621HD bolt pattern but has a softer spring for tongue weights up to 3,500 lbs.

What 5th wheel trailer do you have and do you know your pin boxes bolt pattern? If you do not I'd be happy to get that information for you.

I would just need the information on the sticker that's attached to the bracket above your current pin box. The sticker should say date of manufacture, weight capacity, and have some form of RPO, LCI, or serial number on it. If you could email me a picture of it or carefully put all that information where it says Add Comment, I can find the right B&W gooseneck pin box for you. Also if yours says Turning Point or Rhino Box on it let me know because those bolt patterns are easy to identify replacements for.

I would be looking for one compatible with a Montana 3761fl. Also out of curiosity do you know if B&W is looking to get an endorsement from lippert to be compatible with their frames? Judging by the videos I have seen it looks like the shock dampening is top notch, I was just wondering if they were trying to get an official endorsement like the goosebox had.

@Tyler Yeah, I'm going to need the information I requested above if you would like me to find the correct one. The model of your trailer won't give me the pin box bolt pattern. I need the frame information which isn't posted publicly. The B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # BW83RV is not officially endorsed by Lippert. So if your trailer is under a year old this would void any warranty protections on the frame.
