Where is the Factory Brake Controller Plug for a 2026 Nissan Armada
Updated 08/10/2026 | Published 07/29/2026 >
Question:
I purchased a Discovery Next Brake controller for a 2026 Nissan Armada with the 51382 connector cable. I am not able to find the factory connector in the vehicle to install the unit. I am searching under the dash panel to the left of the brake pedal. The Safety Brake is electronic and there is no safety brake pedal. Do you have a picture or someone I could talk too that knows where this connector is located

Hey Jeff!
The Curt Discovery NEXT Trailer Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness # C45MV includes factory numbers 51126 & 51382, is the right kit for your 2026 Nissan Armada, so no worries on whether you got the wrong plug or controller. I don't have schematics on the Armada to illustrate it, but the connector you're looking for is likely tucked and capped in a mess of wires that aren't easy to identify, unfortunately. Sometimes, it can even be found closer to the center of your dash, so if you're not having luck on the left of the steering column, try the opposite side and towards the back. There's no standard place for it to be hidden, but it does come standard on the 26 Armada according to my findings online.
What are you planning to tow with your Armada?
