Question:
We're taking our 5th wheel out to Colorado next summer and several of the campgrounds we're looking at are around 7,000-9,000 feet. Can I still use the CM98MR up there to run the AC or does it need anything special for higher elevations?

Hey Nathan! Yes, you can use the Onan 11,000-Watt Tri Fuel Portable Generator # CM98MR at those elevations. However, Cummins requires a high-altitude kit when operating above 2,000'.
The kit you need depends on which fuel you're using. For gasoline, Cummins lists the # CM65FV (A069E131) High Altitude Carburetor Kit. If you're running propane or natural gas, they list the # CM75FV (A069E132) High Altitude Fuel Switch Kit. You'll also want to be mindful of your overall power usage at higher elevations, especially when you're running your AC along with other high-draw appliances.
Are you planning on running the generator on gasoline or propane while you're out there?

Thanks Robin! Any chance you guys carry either of those kits? I'd rather order everything together if possible.
