Question:
I’m looking for a replacement for this airbag ecu. I lost the remote and replacements are not available anywhere. I think maybe the newer dual path ECU may work but I’m not sure. My compressor and bags etc all work fine and I’d like to avoid having to replace the entire system.

Hey John, welcome back and thanks for the pictures! To replace your Firestone ECU 21-3582-9408 and add a new remote, I recommend the Replacement Dual-Path ECU Service Pack item # F58VV and the Replacement Remote item # F54ZV.
The Dual-Path ECU Service Pack item # F58VV is going to allow you to upgrade your ECU without replacing your entire compressor. We've spoken to Firestone in the past and recently had a customer do this exact swap out. You'll be able to insert your existing air lines directly into the new ECU's ports.
The ECU item # F58VV comes with a new wiring harness as well. This is also a Bluetooth-enabled ECU that allows you to control your air bag settings on both iOS and Android phones through the Firestone.
The Replacement Remote item # F54ZV will get you back being able to adjust your air bag settings without having to access them on the Firestone app.
What kind of vehicle do you have this air bag system set up on? You can respond to this below where it says Add Comment and if you've got other questions go ahead and throw them in there as well.

I have this system on my 2013 Super Duty with a Carli long travel suspension lift and an auxiliary air tank. I ordered the replacement dual path ECU and remote. I installed the new ECU and it works perfectly. Rather than rewire all the way up to the engine bay, I just cut the new wiring harness and removed the old plug. It uses the same wires power+, ground and a compressor wire. I used waterproof butt connectors to splice the new ecu plug on. The compressor wire goes to the air tank solenoid via a relay to trigger it to open and release air to the ECU SUP input. The pressure switch on the tank activates the compressor to refill the aux tank as it had before no need to change any of that wiring. The replacement remote was on back order so I used the Bluetooth app and it connects quickly without issue. As soon as the remote arrives I will pair it to the replacement ECU. Only issues I have, and they are minor, the new ECU size is larger so I had to reposition it on the frame rail, and the new remote only has 2 preset memory buttons whereas the older unit had 3. In all I’m very happy with the new ECU; it’s definitely an upgrade from the older system.
