Question:
How do I have separate brake lights and turn signals on my utility trailer which is pulled by 2022 Ram 3500 4X4 srw 6.4L std cab long bed?

Hi Robert,
If your trailer's brake and turn signal use the same wire, but you need to separate the signals, you can use a taillight converter like the Curt 2-to-3 Taillight Converter part # C56196. The converter will take the combined signals from the trailer and create separate outputs for the left turn, right turn, brake, and tail/running lights.
If you're trying to separate the amber turn signals while keeping the red brake lights, the converter will need to be installed on the trailer between the 7-way connector and the trailer lights.
Are you trying to separate the amber lights or the functions of the red taillights?
