Stromberg Carlson 2 Bike Carrier for RVs - Ladder Mount - Aluminum 2022 Imagine 2500RL. Will the ladder support the weight in transit without damaging the ladder? I’m concerned about the bouncing effect on the ladder while traveling. Toting one bike. Giant Talon II.

Hey Kelvin, welcome back and great question! So as long as you stay under the weight capacity of the RV ladder bike rack part # LA-102 you wouldn't have to worry about any damage to the ladder or anything else. So I looked up the weight of your Giant Talon II and it weighs right around 30 lbs which is higher than the weight capacity of the # LA-102 but I have a similar option with more capacity with the Surco Ladder RV bike rack part # SP501BR which will work great and is your best option. This has a 75 lb overall capacity so your 30 lb bike would be no problem at all.

RV ladders have to have capacity to support a person climbing on them which means they are more than equipped for a RV bike rack.
