Installation of Westin R7 Nerf Bars on 2026 RAM 2500

Question:

Im reviewing the instructions for the Westin R7 on my 2026 Ram 2500 crew cab. None of my factory mount points on my truck have threaded holes Example in instructions is Figure 3 and the instructions do not seem very clear on what mount gets what mounting method. There are 6 Riv-certs yet the driver front bracket gets 2 riv-certs. So that means one of the other 5 brackets does not get a riv-cert. Is that accurate? I would assume each remaining bracket should have 1 riv-cert and 1 nut plate/stud.

Hey Bobby,

Sorry about that. I read over the installation instructions on these and was a bit confused as well. I reached out to our contact at Westin and he confirmed that that each bracket location where there is not a factory threaded hole or riv-cert will get one riv-cert and one nut/bolt plate to mount the bracket. One thing I wanted to mention that I wasn't sure if you checked is sometimes the factory holes will be covered with tape to prevent debris from getting in when they're not being used.

Are you replacing factory nerf bars or adding these to the truck?
