Updated 07/29/2026 | Published 07/23/2026

Question:

Does this, or a different model drill operated, pipe mount trailer jack in the 1,000 - 2,000 lb range - have a foot plate that can be removed and replaced with a wheel?

Thanks for reaching out Robert. Unfortunately, we don't carry a pipe-mount, drill-operated trailer jack with a wheel. All of the drill-operated, pipe-mount jacks we offer—including the Trailer Valet Drill-Powered Jack # TV35FR—use a drop leg with a footplate rather than a caster wheel. We also do not carry a pipe mount jack that comes with a caster wheel.

I also checked with Trailer Valet, and they do not offer a wheel attachment that's compatible with the # TV35FR, so there isn't a factory option to convert it from a footplate to a wheel.

What type of setup are you looking to replace your trailer jack on?

Thanks for the response Christopher. I have limited space on my teardrop trailer because of a tongue box so a typical tongue frame mount won’t work. I thought about adding a triangular piece of 1/2 steel plate to the tongue and installing a an A-frame jack but it will be in the way of accessing the tongue box. So… my solution is a piece of 2” x 2” x 1/4” steel tube onto which I’ll mount a pipe jack mount and then just make the jack completely removable. Make sense?

@RobertM Makes sense to me. You could go with something like # TJP-2002S-B which comes with the male pipe to weld to the trailer frame. This obviously does not have a caster on it but otherwise should be a good fit.
