Question:
Currently have a 24 Ford F350 Dually pulling a 2024 Alliance Valor 40V13. Would this be the correct part for my set-up? Thank you in advance.

Expert Reply:
It would not Steve but I've got a couple of options that will depending on what pin box bolt pattern your 2024 Alliance Valor 40V13 has. I have listed them below:
Rhino Box - B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # BW23RV
Lippert 1621/1621HD - B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # BW73RV
As far as identifying which one you need goes, your 5th wheel trailer either has a Rhino Box or Lippert 1621 bolt pattern according to the information I can find online. The trailer manufacturer's don't post that information publicly. Now the Rhino Box is going to be easy to identify. It'll say it on the pin box. There's also going to be a sticker attached to the mounting bracket above your pin box. It should say date of manufacture, weight capacity, and have some form of RPO, LCI, or serial number on it.
If you could email me a picture of the sticker or carefully put all that information where it says Add Comment, I can verify which is the right B&W gooseneck pin box for you.
The B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # BW83RV you were originally looking at is going to be over capacity for your 20,000 lbs 5th wheel trailer. It works with tongue weights up to 4,500 lbs and yours is nowhere close to that. The higher capacity spring in it is going to give you a stiffer ride than one of the 3,500 lbs tongue weight capacity ones I recommended.
How long is the bed on your F-350 dually?
You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

8 ft box on the Ford. The Valor is currently getting a recall fixed. I did call and talk to the tech, he said it is a Lippert 1621. Thanks for all the information!!!
