Hey Karl, since your 2014 Itasca Merdian 42e diesel pusher has air brakes the absolute best supplemental braking system for flat towing your 2026 GMC Sierra 2500HD would be the Demco Air Force One with wireless monitor part # DM26VR. This will give you the best and smoothest braking that will match right up with the braking of your motorhome. Your battery getting disconnected in your truck will not affect performance either. Congrats on the new truck! Do you have any big trips planned and do you have the rest of your flat towing setup picked out?

I installed the air force one system on my 2021 Tiffin Allegro RED motorhome and my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I tow. Installation was relatively easy and done in just a few hours. System works great!! I also purchased the dash monitor that lets me know the brakes are activating on the Jeep and I think it is worth every penny.

I installed the system on my 2017 F350, and it has worked very well with one exception. I have had trouble with the sensor that monitors the brake pedal. I have replaced it a couple of times, but it is intermittent at best.

Karl, I installed the A.F.O. on my 2014 Tiffin Allegro RED33AA to flat tow my 2018 GMC Canyon. The installation was pretty simple. Just take your time and read the instructions thoroughly. I also installed the Road Master battery disconnect.

I put the Airforce one brake system in my 2005 Monaco. It has done exactly what I purchased it to do. It appears to brake evenly and do a good job. With a heavy 45 foot coach, it is hard to know for sure but I can say that with the Expedition in tow, I don't feel it pushing me any when stopping. I installed it myself and found it easy enough to get through the process OK. The internet is your friend though for images and such if you need more information than what they supplied.
