Hi George! Yes, the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel, Part # AM20242, can fit a 12 inch hub, but the hub size itself isn't what determines whether the wheel will fit. The important thing is that your hub has a 4 on 4 bolt pattern, since that's what this wheel is designed for.
If you're not sure what bolt pattern you have, it's easy to check. On a 4 lug hub, simply measure from the center of one wheel stud straight across to the center of the stud directly opposite it. If that measurement is 4 inches, you have a 4 on 4 bolt pattern and this wheel will fit.
Out of curiosity, what kind of trailer are you putting this wheel on, a boat trailer, utility trailer, or something else?

Gregory, In answer to your question... 1. First the bolt pattern MUST be the same. 2. You must have 3"- 4" of fender clearance, and the wheel width with the tire mounted should be the same. Overall, it should work in most cases as long as you stay within the load range printed on the tire and do not drive like a cray man on the way to the water source. A 4 x 4 bolt pattern wheel should NEVER be installed on a 5 x 4.5 wheel/axel combo. This would violate D.O.T regs and make the towed vehicle unsafe. If the 13" tire will fit the Five-lug wheel diameter, refer to the above. Your best bet is to stay with what you have. If you have changed the load (added a heaver boat,) then you need to upgrade the axel, tires and wheels to 14" for safety reasons. Never modify what the MFG states will handle a load safely. Best bet is to contact Dexter Axels or another mfg. to get the best answer. I bought the 13" wheels and tires because that is what was on the trailer. The old tires were shot, and the old wheels were rusted. Etrailer had what I needed when no one else did. Remember the better your tires and wheels, (as per mgf. spec) the safer you will go down the road. NEVER take chances. Even if you think a modification will work. Best of luck. -P.

The trailer I purchased came with 10" wheels I did not care for. I modified the fender a bit and used these. Bolt pattern was the same, tire width was compatible with these.
