Recommended 7,500 lbs Air Bags for a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500

I am looking at AirLift airbags with Bluetooth remote controlled air. I’m pulling an alliance Avenue 39MBR fifth wheel which is advertised having pin weight of 2500lbs and GVWR of 16000lbs. Using a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD High Country. Would you recommend the 5000 or 7500?

Hey Stephen, thanks for the information! For your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 High Country, I recommend the 7,500 lbs Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs item # AL57541. With that much pin weight you're going to want the extra capacity the 7,500 lbs kit offers over the 5,000 lbs item # AL88341 option. You'll get the extra support but not have to worry about it being overrated for your truck.
For a Bluetooth controlled onboard air compressor, I recommend the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs item # AL58WQ. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from your phone or the included remote.
I attached a couple of installation videos below so you can see how to get these parts installed on your Silverado.

I agree the 7500 is overall going to be the better option and most versatile in its range of capabilities. I also have the Bluetooth remote and air compressor. I have the system on my 24 3500HD and it’s a dedicated tow truck. I tow a 36ft 5th wheel camper that I converted to a gooseneck at 18k lbs, have a smaller 28ft 5th wheel flatbed trailer rated to 20k and also have a standard hitched 32ft enclosured car trailer when loaded it is on average 13-15k. When using a 5th wheel I have the gooseneck to 5th wheel hitch where it just drops into the gooseneck recess in the truck bed. What I love the most is the on the fly adjustments I can make while on the road to find the sweet spot for each load. No trailer I set it to the min 5lbs, gooseneck is set to 45-50, 5th wheel 35, car hauler at 30. Not only is the ride dramatically better in terms of feel, bounce and smoothness but also can make small adjustments to in air pressure to level out the truck and trailer based on tongue weight to ensure that the front end stays planted firmly to ensure that I don’t loose steering balance which imo is absolutely critical to ensure a smooth and safe drive. Safety has no price especially when I can be over 20,000 lbs in total usually with my most precious cargo which is my family. Hope that helps Ed

I would highly recommend the 7500 system it work great leveling our truck pulle 42 momentum 5 h wheel camper and equipment trailer with it no problems easy to set and ride nice with no trailer at 20 pounds and leveled up good at 50 pounds

I have the 7500 XL and am happy with it on my 3500 Chevy High Country. If you can afford the additional cost it would certainly give you extra capacity if you ever needed it down the road. One thing to consider is ride quality when you are not towing or hauling. Even with the PSI reduced to 5, the 7500 is a stiff ride when the truck is not loaded. It rides much better under load. Perhaps the 5000 would be a touch more forgiving at 5 PSI due to the smaller air bags but I have no experience with that to confirm. Of course, the ride will be stiffer on a 3500 than a 2500 regardless. Personally, I wanted the assurance of the larger capacity for my 4,000 lb slide-in camper.
