Question:

are those measurements 48 inches by 23 inches on the outside of the device or are they the size of the box area?

Hey Tim. The 48" x 23" measurement is the entire MORryde RV Cargo Slide Tray item # MR63ZV. The inside tray dimensions are 46-1/4" long x 19-7/8" wide.

The MORryde RV Cargo Slide Tray item # MR63ZV has a 800 lbs capacity and slides out 60% of it's length. It'll attach directly to your storage compartments floor with the included hardware.

What kind of gear or equipment do you plan on putting in the cargo tray?

We easily mounted this on the pass-through of our Brinkley Z air 285. It holds our electric grill and more. The slide mechanism glides more easily than anything I have ever seen like it.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the cargo slide trays that yi bought. I mounted them in the back of my Sprinter Van camper under the bed. I added plywood sides on all 4 sides to hold various cargo. They are very sturdy and I have no problem filling them and sliding them out after securing the frame to the bed of my van. My only complaint is that there's about 1/4 inch of movement in the when latched and they clank back and forth when accelerating and braking. Also the latch squeaks when it slides this 1/4 inch. I had to rig a foam to stop the drawer from moving when closed.
