Can Trailer Valet Be Mounted Without Using Included Bracket
Updated 07/22/2014 | Published 07/20/2014 >
Question:
With adequate blocking and reinforcing, could BD015279 2inch O.D. or BD005024 2.5inch I.D. jack mounting pipes be used in place of the clamp-on bracket that comes with the Trailer Valet? Does the TV swivel use a 9/16inch or 5/8inch pull pin? To protect it from road dirt, weather, or theft Id rather take it off while in transit or parked. The trailer has its OEM tongue jack, so the Valet would only be needed for jockeying between garages where the truck and trailer wont fit. Thanks in advance for your advice.

The pin that is used on the swivel for the clamp-on bracket is 5/8 inch diameter.
I spoke with my contact at Trailer Valet, and they said that they could not recommend altering the way it is mounted for use.
