Question:
What kind of trailer lock fits on an Ark Articulating Off-Road Coupler for 2 Receivers AR44FR

Hi Joerg,
If you're wanting to lock the Ark Articulating Off-Road Coupler part # AR44FR, you can use the etrailer Stainless Steel Hitch Lock part # e98882 to secure the Ark to your trailer and the BulletProof Hitches Extreme Duty Coupler Lock part # BRPH96VR to lock the trailer coupler when the trailer is disconnected.
However, Ark has said they don't recommend using a lock with the articulating coupler when connected to the tow vehicle because any lock would prevent the head from moving and if someone forgot to remove it prior to towing it would damage the whole system.
Where do you like to take your trailer off-roading at?

Hey, I have one of these. They were great. I use my off-road trailer in the north main woods going over all kinds of uneven terrain. My jeep can be on a 30° angle and my trailer remains flat until it goes over the area that my jeep had just gone over. I haven’t been able to pinch my trailer with this on there yet. Email me if you have any other questions or want to see a picture.

Hi Claire Thanks for the feedback, I ended up buying a BPH96VR based on the advice of the trailer OEM. It is a tight fit but I was able to make it work (the trailer locking mechanism can not be closed, but you can make it fit in the open position) I ended up buying from a different source, because I needed the lock before I saw your response. However I do really appreciate your reaching out.
