Hi Carlos, great question. The remote start on the Cummins Onan P11000iTF, part # CM98MR, is really straightforward to use.

It comes with a wireless key fob, so once everything is set up, you can start the generator without having to walk over to it. Just make sure the battery is connected, your fuel supply is hooked up and turned on, the fuel selector is set to the fuel you're using, and the main engine switch is in the Remote or Standby position. From there, all you have to do is press the start button on the key fob and the generator will take care of the rest. It has an automatic choke, so there's no choke lever to mess with, and it also gives you the peace of mind of having both an electric start and a manual recoil start if you ever need a backup.

The only thing I always like to mention is that, since you can start it from a distance, it's important to make sure the generator is outside in a safe, well ventilated spot before leaving it in Remote mode. It also has a built in carbon monoxide sensor that will automatically shut the generator down if it detects unsafe exhaust conditions.

I hope that helps! Are you planning to use it for your RV, as a home backup generator, or for something else?
