Hi Judy,
Thanks for your question and for giving us the opportunity to help!
We've previously confirmed with Dexter, who acquired AL-KO in 2014, that the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 7,000 lbs # 23-180-181 are the correct replacements for AL-KO brake assemblies 363233.1 and 363233.2.
These are 12" x 2" electric brake assemblies and mount to the standard 5-bolt brake mounting flange used in 12" brake setups.
One thing I would recommend checking is the number of bolts securing your current brake assemblies to the axle flange. Some older AL-KO 12-inch brake assemblies used a 4-bolt mounting pattern, which is not compatible with the # 23-180-181 assemblies.
If your axle has the 4-bolt flange, the correct replacement would be the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand - 6K AL-KO/Hayes Axles # 23-105-106-09, which are designed specifically for the older AL-KO/Hayes 4-bolt mounting pattern.
If you'd like, you can also send me a few photos of your current brake assemblies and mounting flange. I'd be happy to confirm which option is the right fit for your trailer.
Out of curiosity, what type of trailer are you replacing the brakes on?
