Question:
Hi, I want to outfit my Karavan aluminum 6x10 utility trailer with new Timbren axles. Current weight rating is 3000lbs, but I am happy to go lower to improve handling/bounce. I was looking at the Timbren 2000 idler hub least expensive. Can you confirm with me that that will work on my trailer. I will install it myself. Thanks so much.

Hey Nathan, welcome back! For your Karavan aluminum 6x10 utility trailer, I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension w/ Idler Hubs item # A20RS545.
The Timbren item # A20RS545 is going to be the best overall way to add an axle-less setup so long as you're ok giving up some capacity. These are only rated for 2,000 lbs, which includes the weight of your trailer. They include an idler hub that has the standard 5 on 4-1/2 lug nut pattern. Price wise these are a great bargain and you won't have to worry about bouncing with the built in suspension.
Your Karavan aluminum 6x10 utility trailer GVWR of 2,990 lbs. The 3,500 lbs capacity Timbren item # A35RS545 are the ones you'll need if you don't want to lose almost half of your of your capacity.
What do you haul around on your Karavan trailer?
