Is there an Adapter for Advent AC to Coleman-Mach Distribution Box?

Question:

I recently ordered a new 15,000 btu advent ac but the Coleman on the roof top is a 9 pin and the Advent is a 6 pin, is there an adapter i can purchase for this. Thank you.

Hey David, thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, there isn't an adapter that will allow the Advent Air AC # ADV84QR to communicate with a Coleman-Mach distribution box. Since your Advent unit uses a different connector and control system, you'll need to replace the distribution box with one that's compatible with the Advent Air unit.

Depending on your RV's setup, you'll need one of the following:

Non-ducted system: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner Air Distribution Box with Built In Thermostat - # ADV57QR

Ducted system: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner Air Distribution Box with Wall Mounted Thermostat - # ADV24QR

Do you use the AC as ducted or non-ducted?

I have a ducted system. On the inside where there would be a cover is actually a ceiling fan.

@DavidH Got it, the ceiling fan doesn't change anything. You'll go with the Advent distribution box # ADV24QR.

This is truly a shame, i spent several minutes on the phone with a salesperson and none of this was said to me. I was told that it would be a basic plug and play.
